Since there some new friends among us...

1. How did you chose your user name?

2. Why did you start a LiveJournal?

3. Who was your first LiveJournal friend?

01] I've always liked the name Lilith and the meanings behind it [meaning "of the night" and being Adam's first wife that was cast out because she wouldn't submit, children of Lilith being demons, etc.]. When I was in one of my "domain buying frenzies" I found that lilith.com was taken, but lylith.com was available and, well, that was the start of it.

02 I started my LJ mostly just to read friend's locked posts and didn't start posting anything for months.

03 My first LJ friend was the girl that actually 'got' me my LJ when she sent me an invite code so I could read her locked posts. At the time, she was supposed to be my best friend, but she turned out to be a liar and a whore. This is actually my second account as I changed to this LJ before I knew about renaming options.

There are renaming options? Let me guess, for paid members only, right?

Not sure if they are for paid members only, but you have to pay a fee to get a rename code.

The FAQ (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=25&q=rename+token&lang=) says, "You can rename any personal or community journal to another username as long as the other username is unregistered; deleted and purged; or a personal journal under your control." =] It's $15.

1. I chose this user name because I like cats and I'm a computer geek in training. Its not my first user name, I've been through several. But I plan to stick with this one. :)

2. An ex boyfriend ( [livejournal.com profile] shrink908 ) introduced me to live journal.

1. I don't recall when exactly I started using Veggiebelle, but it was a while before LJ - I love Beauty and the Beast (hooray for a bookworm heroine!) and, well, I'm veggie. I think a friend of mine may have originally come up with it. Anyway, I'd used as a handle for a while by the time I got to LJ.

2. I got an invite code from a friend (yep, that long ago) and thought, "Why not?"

3. [livejournal.com profile] sirthorn, who gave me the invite code.

1. My livejouranl account was started (I believe) around the time "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" came out. It would be fun to "latinize" my last name maybe

2. Mostly at the encouragement of a few friends in order to have an outlet for writing.

1) Because I am, in fact, a Stage Manager.

2) Apparently I thought my words were worth saving and sharing.

3) Not sure specifically, but I do believe that a few fellow stage managers were among the first. ;)

1.) Cair Tirnin was an imaginary place/fort in my parent's woods that my friends and I used to play in when I was a kid. It kinda turned into my own private retreat as I got older and things in my home made it so that I wanted to stay away as much as I could. I thought it a good name for my journal/internet retreat when I got this.

2.) I wanted a place to talk about things that I was thinking about.

3.) [livejournal.com profile] rugbychick, who gave me the invite code, and [livejournal.com profile] raven_maid

1. Started out as Twilight, created as the offspring of Elfquest's Nightfall and Redlance, for conventions (needed a character :>). Became an online handle for years until I went online somewhere and it was being used by someone else - so i added 2000, making me Twilight2000.
Both had the added advantage of being unisex and leading the idiots to leaving me alone :>. Extra bonus, it's a great game from BootHill (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twilight_2000").

2. Friend suggested I might enjoy it.

1) In high school my brother was Bakes and I was little Bakes. I always wanted a better nickname, so I figured scooter was a better nickname. This unfortunate misapprehension was soon dispelled as soon as I realized two things:
1)you can't dictate your own nickname and
2) I look nothing like a "scooter".
The "P" comes from my middle name.
All this being said, I also found out that scooterpbakes is a fairly unique name, even on the internet. Which is good because my name is incredibly common.

2)I really started it as a way to write more. That was a terrible failure, so then I started using it as a dumping ground for random interesting memes and polls I came across. Now I use it, when I think of it, as a bit of a journal and as a bit of a megaphone to let my friends know whats going on in my life. Oh yeah, and [livejournal.com profile] ghost_light pushed me into it.

3)[livejournal.com profile] ghost_light, who pushed me into it.

1. When I moved to Boston there was already another Lori and another Laurie in the social circle I became a part of. Several people joked about calling me "Lori the Third." So I decided that instead, I was The Loriest.

2. Because a lot of my online friends were migrating here from some of the discussion boards I frequented.

3. I don't remember.
