3. What is the craziest (real) excuse you've used for being late to work?
I might have a winner for 3. I just pulled my shirt out of the dryer and found a HUGE tear down the sleeve.

Date: 2008-12-06 12:06 am (UTC)2. All through the day and every single night. I'm kind of addicted.
3. I think I probably win. One time I got hit by a flying screen door. It flew off the back of a truck and slapped against my windshield. Fortunately I wasn't hurt, but I did have to stop and do all the "accident" paperwork, resulting in lateness for work. When I told my boss I'd been hit by a flying screen door on the interstate, I'm *pretty* sure she didn't believe me.
I was also late once because my cat brought a live bird into the house and my mom and I had to catch it before it tore up the house (and my cat. It was a gigantic, very angry blackbird bent on destruction.)
