Happy 'Journal Day - Take 2!

My Livejournal is 10 years old today! I am thinking a good way to celebrate this milestone is hosting a friendzy!

You probably, all know the drill by now - post an intro below, get to know some fun people.

I will start, if,'journal doesn't mangle this post!

Hi! I'm ghost_light, I'm 43 and I suck at writing intros. I live in Anchorage, Alaska with my husband LonelyDumptruck and 296,000 other people.

 

I work days doing data entry (why yes, that is as exciting as it sounds) and helping out at a small real estate to afford what I really like to do - theatre and roller derby! 

 

I am a Talking Woman and resident stage manager for a burlesque troupe and I  stage and house manage for the Performing Arts Centre where I have been heckled by Bill Engvall and had Kenny G. stick his tongue out at me as we passed in the hall.

 

I am a  Skating Official (referee) in
the Derby Intelligence Compliance Squad for Anchorage's roller derby league.  Yes, that means we are DICS.
I look forward to meeting all of you!

hi--I came over via gracegiver's post about this. Congrats on 10 years, I'll be there in March :) I'm 48, live in Seattle, work as a psychoanalytic therapist, and I talk about my own therapy a good bit. I like to read, paint, write, take pictures, cook, find new music, and hike, so I talk about all of those things some. My journal really is a place for me to process my life; it's quite raw at times, and not many ppl comment, but I don't mind. I read everyone on my FL, but don't comment that often. When I do, it's usually short (which is funny b/c my entries are notably long). I enjoy ppl who talk about their lives, as opposed to talking, for instance, about a tv show they're watching. I love picture posts, ppl with a good sense of humor, and ppl who are pretty easy-going. I'm very open-minded. I love poetry. I like talking about sex. I like reading about ppl's travels. If any of you think we sound like a fit, let me know--thanks!

Oh hey. You sound very interesting. I just made a post down below. I don't post about TV as much as comment. I interact with each of my friends differently.

You made me realize I missed stuff in my post. I post photos of my pets and food and about sex. But not at the same time, OMG! Well, sometimes I'll talk about how the pets watch. It both amuses and creeps us out.

I have always used my space here on LJ in much the same way that you describe here. My journal used to be public, until I had a stalker, so unfortunately now it's "friends only". That may actually be a good thing for me at this point, but it makes meeting new people difficult.
