Here is a strange sensation - can anyone else *hear* their head turn?  Kind of a bubbly/gurgley, noise?

Sometimes. I think it mostly happens when I'm not feeling too well. But I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. :)

Sometimes. It's a (usually) quiet crackle. My neck is kind of screwed up from car accidents, though.

Sometimes I hear a kind of grinding/crunchy noise. I hate it. But no doc has said it's anything to be worried about.

Mine clicks and crackles all the time, and sometimes there is a *crack* loud enough for others to hear. Cervical spondylosis FTL.

Yes - especially if I get water in my ears in the shower - also if i spend too long at the computer - something to do with tilting the neck
