  1. I don't recall ever wearing fancy dress for Halloween. Over here it was always Bonfire Night that was important when I was growing up.

  2. Some of the littles (adults don't generally dress up) are dressed in very good witch outfits.

  3. A scientist and if I cannot be a scientist I want to be a mad cat woman.

1. A couple years ago, my husband, my BIL and I all wore these crazy costumes that we found at a thrift store. They were genuine theatrical costumes from a Russian circus (no idea how they wound up in FL) and looked like something David Bowie would have found too ostentatious during his Ziggy Stardust years. We claimed we were Space Oddities.

2. Hard to pick, but this is one of my current favorites: http://illusion.scene360.com/painting/5617/the-real-life-lichtenstein-comic-girl/

3. A successful writer (instead of a competent but low-paid one, lol).

1. A pirate girl, after I had just got my dreads done. I had a red scarf on my head, a white flowy shirt and a tight black lace-up vest and high waisted trousers stuffed into brown knee high leather boots. I also had dark brown body paint over the visible areas of my skin and it looked surprisingly natural, like my skin was really that dark. Oh, and I also a gallon of eye make-up for good measure.
When I showed up in that costume, my friends didn't recognise me at first, and I had to spend the whole night warding off men and women on the dance floor. It was pretty awesome!

2. Probably this tall and skinny girl with a boyish figure dressed up as Edward Scissorhands! She was smoking hot! If I could pull that off that would be my costume this year, but sadly that's not going to happen!

3. Tinkerbell
