I had penpals from almost all 50 states and a bunch of foreign countries while in high school. I've actually found two of them in the past couple of years, on Facebook.

Other than my mind??? Don't think s...Oh YES!! YES I HAVE!!! I somehow managed to lose the brochure of the hot springs/spa I'm going to this weekend THAT I PURPOSELY LEFT OUT while cleaning so I could look at what services their spa offers/the prices.

TODAY!!! *since it's now Friday*

I think I was supposed to but kind of miserably failed at writing them back. I wish I had. There's supposedly a site online where you can still get them.

3. I had three pen-pals, a boy from Italy, a girl from USA and another girl from Germany. I didn't really connect with the German girl, and the American girl just kept talking about her weight, in pounds, which I didn't understand anyway, and I didn't care about how much people weighed in any case.

But I corresponded for years with the Italian boy and he was starting to feel like a real friend. But when we were twelve he suddenly ended the correspondence because his girlfriend didn't like him having a girl as a penpal. It was completely ridiculous and I felt so snubbed! If I remember correctly, I was too hurt to even write back to him to tell him what a rotten thing he was doing.

2. 2nd last day of the month - so that would be next Tuesday???

3. I started writing to penpals when I was around 12 or so and I still have about 40 penpals now. ;-)

1) My patience and maturity, earlier this night... we made a date ight type plan to use our freebie passes to go see "don't be afraid of the dark" at the only AMC theatre in the area... and they changed thier minds and didn't HOLD a midnight showing. :/ ...we went to several others that also didn't have one. Ended up having a four year old moment, and deciding I didn't care about the reprecussions, I was gunna use my 'buy one get one free' discount at a Regal theatre and see the damn midnight showing! ...and so we did. It was AWESOME. O:) I don't often lose patience/maturity like that.

2) The 1st... and only the 1st. Having a month between paydays SUCKS.

3) 'Home' was my only big penpal... I often went off in the summers to live in LA, and would write the neices or siblings, or parents... who lived in northern california in the boondocks. ;)
