1. My best friend traveling from Japan to be here for my 30th birthday.

1. can't remember any birthdays since my real last one was at 3... but last year, New Moon came out on dvd on my birthday, so Sergio rented it for me and bought some cheap wine, haha. It's was little, but it was sweet. :)

2. my grandfather... been thinking about it a lot lately for some reason (he died when I was 13)

1. When I was four, I had a birthday cake with actual candles. I was wearing a goldenrod-colored turtleneck (it was the '70s). I scorched the shirt, and it was the only turtleneck that I ever liked until I was about thirty.

1. My favorite is when I turned 25. My family came up and surprised me at Red Lobster. Hubby arranged everything and kept it a surprise up until the last minute. :)

2. My grandmother. I miss her a lot.

1. My favorite birthday memory is of some of my womyn friends gave me a surprise birthday party. Never had anyone throw me a party. :)

2. I wish I could talk to my mom. She's been gone since 2000.

1. My 40th; surrounded by friends. Dating a decent guy (at the time) The topper was sharing a case of wine my family made themselves and shipped to Alaska.

1. I was sick and my best friends got prett much the whole neighborhood to wish me well. people came to my house with flowers, cards, ect. I will never forget that or her.

1--Humm...hard question to answer at the present time. I am not saying that all my birthday's sucked, just that I can't think straight right now. MEH.
2--Again, a hard question to answer...my cat that died awhile back now for sure. I miss him to this day...guess I always will.
3--MEH--bored out of my mind after watching Carnivale (sp?)--I only made it through the first EP and a slight bit into the second one when I just had to stop watching it. Sorry to anyone who liked it, but I just couldn't get into it at all. MEH.

1. What is your favorite memory from one of your birthdays?
It's going to sound horrible, but when I was about 5-6 and we were visiting my mother's family in Chicago and they had me crawling through the "Spanking Machine"...and I got through with being spanked once! Because honestly the middle birthdays sort of meld together, the teenager years are not even worth revisiting and now that I'm not a child anymore they're just mediocre.

2. Who do you wish you could talk to right now?
My friend who passed away in a car accident almost four years ago. I think even more than talking to him I just want one of his spectacular hugs. They always made it feel like everything was going to be alright at the end of the day.

3. How are you?
Pretty good overall. Not looking forward to the massive cleaning of the living space that is going to have to happen this weekend, but I just scored Immortal Beloved from teh Borders going out of business sale, so I'm good.

1) Mom made a 'snoopy' cake (one of those 'cut up' kinds where you bake a sheet cake, make some cuts, put the parts together and frost it, and voila, it's a snoopy!) ...I loved it because she used coconut shreds over the frosting, and licorice for the 'cartoon lines' and details... I was totally happydancing. :)

2) My Father. I keep having these dreams where I am trying to explain to him why he's Dead. (we all know why, mind you-) but the truth is, I have always been curious why he tried to contact me just four days before he died... I'd like to know what was on his mind. How much did he know?

3) MUCH better, with adequate pain control, and a surgical date in sight! Yay! I will be much MUCH better after that is all said and done, too. ;)
