1. Have you ever just walked out of a job without giving notice?

2. If you discovered today was your last day at a job, would you do anything differently?

3. Do you like toast?

1. Yes. I was pretty immature, I guess. It was back a very long time ago.

2. I would CRY. I love the career that I have (licensed massage therapist) and the work I do, and being self-employed. It would be a big blow, even if I was going off to travel, had won the lottery, etc.

3. I do. I like all types of toast, including Texas Toast.

  1. Nope. Thought about it though.
  2. No. I'd just get done what needed to be done.
  3. Toast with home made marmalade puts the world to rights.

Yes, I have. Once in the middle of a shift I stormed out, after throwing something at the worst manager in history. The best manager in history called me about 2 hours later asking me when I was coming back, and he made worst manager apologize to me. So I actually didn't lose that job.

N/A.

Yes.

1. No, and I always cry when I give my two weeks notice even when it's always for a better opportunity! So emotional!

2. I would be sure that everything that I owned as part of my job as far as responsibilities go was well documented. I would never leave a job on bad terms because that shit comes back to bite you in the arse.

3. Yes, but only cinnamon raisin or sourdough.

1. Sort of, but it wasn't a very official job. I actually had a bit of a contest with my boss to see whether I could quit or she could fire me first, and in the end since it was a theater-related job I had to stick around through the end of the show I was working on at the time.

2. Depends on the job. If it was one where I was responsible for other people, like clients or something, I would make sure my records were up-to-date and that people were taken care of. Though with my current job, there wouldn't be much to do.

3. Yes, very much. So much that I have been known to get hungry at night and eat toast in my sleep. Really.

1. Yeah, and I don't regret it at all. It was a really shitty job and they treated me like crap. (And I was hardly the first person to do that!)

2. I would imagine so, yes!

3. Yes!

I am only semi-back as I am still doing replies up the ass--but I wanted to do this--so there! ;-)

1--Yes, more than once and at the same job--LOL! Yes, they actually hired me back after doing this to them--in fact, I did it again too. Never went back after that. MEH. ;-)
2--Yes--I believe in going out with a BANG! ;-)
3--As long as it's not hard or burnt and has butter on it. ;-)

2. Depends on the job...
3. Yes, preferably the "French" kind-LOL! :)

1) In a way... I was once in a play at a local playhouse, and They were loving me in rehersals. ...then my then-wife demanded we suddenly move back to washington state RIGHT THEN... and so I pretty much had to say 'sorry, bye bye' with no notice or logical reason. They were very forgiving, and had plenty of time to fill the part with someone else... but still. SAD. I later played Carney in Biloxi Blues for them, some years later when we returned. So all was well. :)

2) I'm not working a job... probably never will.

3) Yes. Especially white bread that is very lightly toasted- still soft on the inside. Also, Sourdough that has been under the broiler to the top and crust are crispy, but the inside is soft and warm... MMMMmm.

1. No. But I did have a boss try to tell me that I had to give him six weeks' notice (thereby guaranteeing that I'd lose the job I was going to) instead of the two that I did give him.

2. Yeah, I'd probably do a whole lot o' nothing. Or possibly do the aforementioned walking out and call it a vacation day.

3. Yes. With butter and honey. Mmmmm.

1. Never...I'm not big on burning bridges. That said, I've never had a job bad enough that would make me think about walking out without notice...I've had a couple of horrific jobs but they all led to something better so...

2. Nope. I like my manager and I would just be sad to no longer be working with him.

3. I love toast but I can only eat the gluten-free variety...and it's not the same. Mmm, very burnt toast with lots of butter...yum.

1. Have you ever just walked out of a job without giving notice?

Yup. I was a waitress at a cafe with a really shitty boss. One morning I was five minutes late because of roadworks and she refused to let me have my morning break. So when she pestered me to serve a customer I asked again if I was getting a break and she said no, so I took my hair out of its ponytail and said "I'm going home then" before going to get my coat.

2. If you discovered today was your last day at a job, would you do anything differently?

I haven't had a job for years so I don't really know how to answer this question. If it was a job I hated I probably just wouldn't turn up or something.

3. Do you like toast?

Yes! With lots and lots of Marmite!

1. I don't think so. Up until last year, I worked for 34 years, since I was 15, and I don't think I ever walked out on a job. But I had a lot of jobs, so I might be wrong ...

2. I'm not working, but hypothetically, I would probably tie up any loose ends that I could, make sure my paperwork was up-to-date, and try to get revenge on anyone who done me wrong. A kinder, gentler sort of revenge.

3. Absolutely. One of the things I really miss right now is not having a toaster oven so I can toast bagels - but I have a deli two blocks away, and if I get there before noon, they'll do it for me. Toasted poppy bagel with butter - I had that on Easter morning. Delish!

1) Yep. Hours later doc called and asked me to come back to work.

2) Nope. I'd help save animals until that last second.

3) With cinnamin.

Yep. But I was sick and tired of being sexually harassed by my manager. He was fired two weeks later because another lady that was much higher on the totem pole up and quit. Unfortunately, I didn't get any unemployment benefits. :/

I would try to go out with dignity. My thirties have been all about not burning bridges and having class. It's not easy, and I'm not always successful but I'm working on it. ;)

Yes. I like toast and jam.

Hahahah, yeah my work study job in college. Because they never processed my paperwork so I decided I wasn't going to show up if I wasn't going to get paid.

2. If you discovered today was your last day at a job, would you do anything differently?
...Take a longer nap and appropriate as many toiletries as would fit in the three bags I have today...and towels. Gotta Appropriate towels. Oh and Pillows.

3. Do you like toast?
YES! But no peanut butter near it. Ever.
