1. Have you ever just walked out of a job without giving notice?
2. If you discovered today was your last day at a job, would you do anything differently?

Date: 2011-04-26 05:46 pm (UTC)2. I would CRY. I love the career that I have (licensed massage therapist) and the work I do, and being self-employed. It would be a big blow, even if I was going off to travel, had won the lottery, etc.
3. I do. I like all types of toast, including Texas Toast.

Date: 2011-04-26 06:04 pm (UTC)2. I would be sure that everything that I owned as part of my job as far as responsibilities go was well documented. I would never leave a job on bad terms because that shit comes back to bite you in the arse.
3. Yes, but only cinnamon raisin or sourdough.

3. Yes, very much. So much that I have been known to get hungry at night and eat toast in my sleep. Really.

Date: 2011-04-26 08:08 pm (UTC)1--Yes, more than once and at the same job--LOL! Yes, they actually hired me back after doing this to them--in fact, I did it again too. Never went back after that. MEH. ;-)
2--Yes--I believe in going out with a BANG! ;-)
3--As long as it's not hard or burnt and has butter on it. ;-)

Date: 2011-04-26 08:30 pm (UTC)1) In a way... I was once in a play at a local playhouse, and They were loving me in rehersals. ...then my then-wife demanded we suddenly move back to washington state RIGHT THEN... and so I pretty much had to say 'sorry, bye bye' with no notice or logical reason. They were very forgiving, and had plenty of time to fill the part with someone else... but still. SAD. I later played Carney in Biloxi Blues for them, some years later when we returned. So all was well. :)
2) I'm not working a job... probably never will.
3) Yes. Especially white bread that is very lightly toasted- still soft on the inside. Also, Sourdough that has been under the broiler to the top and crust are crispy, but the inside is soft and warm... MMMMmm.

Date: 2011-04-26 09:15 pm (UTC)2. Yeah, I'd probably do a whole lot o' nothing. Or possibly do the aforementioned walking out and call it a vacation day.
3. Yes. With butter and honey. Mmmmm.

Date: 2011-04-27 01:04 am (UTC)2. Nope. I like my manager and I would just be sad to no longer be working with him.
3. I love toast but I can only eat the gluten-free variety...and it's not the same. Mmm, very burnt toast with lots of butter...yum.

Date: 2011-04-27 02:02 am (UTC)Yup. I was a waitress at a cafe with a really shitty boss. One morning I was five minutes late because of roadworks and she refused to let me have my morning break. So when she pestered me to serve a customer I asked again if I was getting a break and she said no, so I took my hair out of its ponytail and said "I'm going home then" before going to get my coat.
2. If you discovered today was your last day at a job, would you do anything differently?
I haven't had a job for years so I don't really know how to answer this question. If it was a job I hated I probably just wouldn't turn up or something.
3. Do you like toast?
Yes! With lots and lots of Marmite!

Date: 2011-04-27 03:33 am (UTC)2. I'm not working, but hypothetically, I would probably tie up any loose ends that I could, make sure my paperwork was up-to-date, and try to get revenge on anyone who done me wrong. A kinder, gentler sort of revenge.
3. Absolutely. One of the things I really miss right now is not having a toaster oven so I can toast bagels - but I have a deli two blocks away, and if I get there before noon, they'll do it for me. Toasted poppy bagel with butter - I had that on Easter morning. Delish!

Date: 2011-04-27 03:36 am (UTC)2) Nope. I'd help save animals until that last second.
3) With cinnamin.

Date: 2011-04-27 06:37 am (UTC)I would try to go out with dignity. My thirties have been all about not burning bridges and having class. It's not easy, and I'm not always successful but I'm working on it. ;)
Yes. I like toast and jam.

Date: 2011-04-27 08:29 am (UTC)Hahahah, yeah my work study job in college. Because they never processed my paperwork so I decided I wasn't going to show up if I wasn't going to get paid.

...Take a longer nap and appropriate as many toiletries as would fit in the three bags I have today...and towels. Gotta Appropriate towels. Oh and Pillows.
3. Do you like toast?
YES! But no peanut butter near it. Ever.
