I had a great time in Homer. LonelyDumptruck's show went well, the director/writer got a card from someone who wants to talk to him about taking the show to Soldotna in the Fall. We had drinkiepoos with the cast and crew after and then took a walk on the beach.

My flight was way, way too early this morning, but I snuck in a nap before class. I think I'm moving too quick for the kids. I taught them Chain Murder Endowment, which is a bitch of a game anyway, and they kind of imploded. We'll try again next week. I didn't expect them to nail it, just to have fun.

Geolinguist and Dawn are coming over for girl's night in a few minutes. I'm feeling outish since it is a gorgeous day. I might suggest seeing if the patio at Roadhouse is open, even though I'm sure everyone else has the same idea.

Hope LiveJournal comes back soon!

Chain Murder Endowment is played by a team of 3 or more. Everyone leaves the stage except one person who gets from the audience a location, an occupation and an object. They then have to explain to the next person on the team those 3 things completely in gibberish. When person 2 knows what the object is, they kill the first person with it and then THEY have to explain the 3 things to the third person and so on. Ideally this is done as a timed game with 1 minute per person. Finally you go down the line and ask each person, in order of appearance, what the three things were.

It's really hard but a lot of fun. One of best parts is that it is So Easy to fuck up, that it is almost a game of telephone when you ask what the 3 things were. I saw one where the object was a television. Person 2 spent so much time carrying it and outlining the shape on his body, that person 3 though it was a Teletubbie. By the time it got to the 4th or 5th person, they thought it was an aquarium.

AHHHHHH! I think I've seen that done before by the Improv Team at my college. But I don't recall ever playing it myself. It definatley sounds like fun!

The one I always enjoyed was one were we set up a scene and then were each given a card from your standard 52 deck and whatever the value of your card was your how important you were int eh scene. So it would always end up being hilarious when like the boss would get a 2 and the homeless bum gets the King or something like that!

Cool. I have never played that as a game, just as an exercise...
