Date: 2010-12-23 08:53 pm (UTC)2 - It's just my initials and part of my surname. I've always wanted to change it, but I haven't come up with another name I like.
3 - Occasioanlly. I used to work at a move theater and I've worked at theaters a few times on Christmas day.

Date: 2010-12-23 09:01 pm (UTC)2. It's a mashup of my first and middle names -- Alissa Faith became lissafay...and lissafay was also a nickname that an old friend gave me once upon a time.
3. Not that I can recall, no. However, my partner and I have a tradition of watching movies together for Christmas...which doesn't count, but is somewhat relevant.

Date: 2010-12-23 09:02 pm (UTC)2) It was obvious enough as a choice- I sculpt. Mostly in ceramics at the time, so... clayshaper. :)
3) Almost EVERY year. It's a tradition for me to go on Thanksgiving day (gets me outta the hair of the cook(s), but I like to go on Christmas day too, if I can. It's nice. :)

3. Nope.

Date: 2010-12-23 09:08 pm (UTC)2. It's the day and the year I was born. I'm not that original, I know...
3. Not that I can remember... I think I watched "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" a day or two after Christmas though.

Date: 2010-12-23 09:28 pm (UTC)2. Somehow "emplosion" started taking over from "emthefrootloop" in several online communities. I felt I'd outgrown emthefrootloop and wanted a change, but emplosion was taken - so emploding was my next choice.
3. Nope, I don't think so.

Date: 2010-12-23 10:06 pm (UTC)2. Ah, well. "Malinalda" is from Tolkien and I like "Rose" as a name element.
3. I've worked at theaters on Christmas, does that count?

Date: 2010-12-23 10:44 pm (UTC)2. When I was in high school, well before Goth was accepted, let alone "fashionable" it's what the preppy kids would call me as an insult. So when LJ came to my life I figured being a fan of irony I would call myself this...and besides I rather think it suits me :).
3. Yes...By the way is this post meant to be making me feel old? The movie was St. Elmo's Fire starring the '80s brat pack.

Date: 2010-12-23 11:03 pm (UTC)2. It was picked for me by my ex, Billy. I didn't have a Live Journal then, but it was my old Yahoo screen name. I was baking and his parents were considering buying a local restaurant. He was trying to talk them into having me come on as a pastry chef.
3. Yes. It's a running joke that we see wildly inappropriate movies, however unintentionally, on major holidays/anniversaries. Year before last we wanted to see Juno but it was sold out so we went into No Country For Old Men, not knowing anything about it other than it was a thriller that had gotten a lot of awards. It's a great movie but a bloodbath from almost the first second.

Date: 2010-12-23 11:25 pm (UTC)2--There was an EP of Will & Grace (I wasn't into that show, but I would catch reruns of it at times) where Jack said the name of his show was Just Jack...and it fit and I liked how he said it...so when I first got my LJ account, I went with just_kaye...it fits with me. ;-) I use the _ as a space divider since I can't use just space there. I hate how words run together that shouldn't be together--but MEH to that as long as it's not my words--LOL! What a long answer, aye? ;-) Anyways--just_kaye stuck with me all this time and I still like it. ;-)
3--I don't recall ever doing that...but then again, wait...nope, don't think I ever have done that. ;-)

Yes, I've gone to the movies on Christmas and on New Years. It's always less busy those days!

Date: 2010-12-24 01:42 pm (UTC)...Probably in high school for Girl Scouts...I can't really remember doing it since than but I might have.
2. How did you pick your LJ name?
The town I grew up in is full of lots of art galleries and whatnot and one of the ones I used to drive past a lot was advertising a new collection titled "Impetus of a Dream" with a flutterby on the poster. Well, little nerd that I was, went home and looked up impetus since I had no idea what it meant and found out it meant beginning. I decided that that kind of summed up how I felt about a lot of things in my life at that point and thus here I am...and I still kinda of think of life is just the beginning of a dream.
3. Have you ever gone to the movies on Christmas day?
Yes I have...but not in several years.

Date: 2010-12-24 06:17 pm (UTC)2. How did you pick your LJ name? ... from a song that reminded me that everyone is a bit messed up in some respect, and that it is just those things that make us who we are.
3. Have you ever gone to the movies on Christmas Day?
Yes, I have a long long time ago. While mom cooked, we went to the movies ... what ungrateful and unhelping children we were.

Date: 2010-12-24 08:16 pm (UTC)2. I chose "nocompromises" years ago while I was separating from my wife. It was a way to suggest that you can have it all, that you don't just have to "settle." To a certain extent, it has worked out that way, and to another extent...well, I have considered changing my name, from time to time.
3. Absolutely!
