I was surprised by how many friends I liost in the Great Purge of '10.

LJ purged a whole bunch of inactive accounts, so if someone on your flist was an inactive account - they would disappear from your friends page, thus 'losing' friends.

Sorry for the confusion. I did mean the inactive/suspended purge that LJ did. I (very nearly) never do friend purges, I like all you guys way too much.
