1. WAS going to go to a movie tonight. Then Dim Sum tomorrow morning, followed by a craft fair tomorrow afternoon. INSTEAD I am stuck in bed with a fever and all other nastiness that comes with the flu.
1. Unclear at this point. The original plan involved theatre, gaming, wedding stuff and holiday shopping with a friend. Looks like the new plan may involve lying around in bed sniffling and feeling ill, though I do have to go to the performances whether or not I'm sick, since they're the one-night only final projects of friends and cohort-mates.
2. It was kind of a lousy week, honestly. The highlight was probably the really excellent, comforting phone conversation I had with my mom yesterday about it all.
3. The ability to, within 24 hours, transmute any illness into the same damn cold I always get. Yesterday, it felt like swine flu, complete with cough and high fever. Today it's just a bad cold. I think this is maybe an actually useful mutant power, since people are much less likely to die of colds.
1. Homework. And MOAR homework. 2. Having our prof tell us he was canceling our final exam. 3. I don't think I have one. Seriously, I can't do anything extraordinary. Watching a lot of TV and remembering most ep titles/songs/actors/scripts? I think of all the times someone has questioned me on something to do with one of my TV shows I've been wrong once.
1. What are your plans this weekend? Taking off to the beach with my daughter and a bunch of her friends - thankfully with some extra parents in tow. Plan was achieved, and I survived, though I'm quite prepared to sleep for a week.
2. What was the highlight of your week? Watching the kids interact. Think a bunch of teenagers, with a couple of much younger siblings (a 3 year old and a 4 month old) running amok for a weekend. They were so excited to be together that they were delightful on their own, but they were so sweet to the 3 year old who was adopted as an honorary older one, and there were also many games of pass the baby, and nobody complained when said baby overflowed a little.
3. What is your mutant power? Mutant power? Good question...selective deafness. Specifically, the abiolity to block out put the High School Musical 2 soundtrack while the long trip home from the beach happened.
