1. I moved to Boston and there were two other Loris in my new group of friends. A couple of them started teasing me, calling me Lori the Third. I joked back and said no, I was the Loriest of Loris.

2. Heading to Cambridge Brewing Company for some great beer. Or, in the summer, picnics.

1. It's the Irish-gaelic spelling of my first name, Shannon (and I was tired of shywickedpixie).

1. I was watching Prison Break at the time and the words cute poison tickled me.

2. Favourite? Hard to decide... clubbing is fun but that's more about the dancing and the music and the drinks than about friends. Although it wouldn't be fun without the friends. I think maybe a movie, especially if there's time to go talk it over in some café. And then, to talk about everything else.

Or maybe my favourite is the pub quiz, where I have the close friends in my team and lots of casual friends in the rival teams, and it's a blast, what with the competition and getting to hang out with lots of friends whom I wouldn't otherwise see so often.

Yeah, the pub quiz it is.

3. Stupid human trick? I'm not sure I get that. You mean, like, when I try to defend a character flaw by saying "it's only human"? But I don't know if that counts because I accept almost all flaws in everyone on that basis, so it's not really a trick. I'm just giving myself the same license I give everyone else.

Why did you pick your user name?
I picked Shiara because I loved the Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia Wrede, and I loved the character, Shiara, a red-headed, blunt firewitch. I could ... relate ... to her bluntness. There was someone else with the username, tho, so I added the _ at the end to be unique.

What is your favorite 'going out with friends' activity?
Hmm. Usually having dinner and conversation. Depends on the friend, tho.

What is your best stupid human trick?
Uhhhhh... having a really good memory for useless trivia about work. Yeah, that's about it.

My first lj name was apesky, but my friend Joy read it as Apey and always called me Apey and that became my nickname. I have a thing for stars, so when Apey was taken I threw a star on the end.
