3. What is the worst book you had to read for school?
"Who Has Seen the Wind"...it's the only book I ever 'destroyed' (it's intact but buried under paper maché in my parents' model train set...I hated it!)

Date: 2008-05-02 06:32 pm (UTC)Truly awful.
And the worst part? I still have the opening quotation by memory all these 20+ years later...
"Who has seen the wind
neither you nor I
Not when the trees bow down their heads
the wind is passing by"
I think it's cuz I had hope for it based on those words. :)

3. You know, I can't actually think of anything for this one. I liked pretty much everything I was assigned to read. Hm. I remember not reading "Heart of Darkness," though, because I was totally burned out on heavy lit at the age of 17. I still haven't read it. Maybe I should.

Date: 2008-05-02 07:39 pm (UTC)Tomorrow I am going through the items in my garage that are not mine and putting them in storage. Then I will take my things out of storage and put them in my garage.
Silas Marner was the most boring book ever assigned to me to read. Hollywood didn't agree, though, and in the early 90's Steve Martin made a movie based on it.
