1. Yes! I've got the door to my office open for the fresh air and am being accosted by mosquitoes.
2. I don't bother.
3. When I moved to Boston, there were two other Laurie/Lori-s in my group of friends. A few people teasingly called me Lori the Third. I decided that I was instead the Loriest of all Loris.
No way I'm able to write it down, so here: http://www.soundupload.com/audio/uwn0er8frse3ov6 I actually thought about using an English name for my English journal, but I had this journal already created so I didn't bother.
1. Why yes, it is! I am looking forward to walking to my car! And if I wasn't so sore from the weekend, I'd walk to the cafeteria for dinner.
2. Yes, or fold them long and roll them up with the rest of the set (fitted sheet, pillow cases).
3. From Phantom of the Opera! "Why, you ask, was I bound and chained in this cold and dismal place? Not for any mortal sin but the wickedness of my abhorrent face!" I am really fond of it.
1. Yes, finally. 2. Actually, I only have one fitted sheet that fits my bed, so most of the time, it's on the bed. It's flannel, though, so I'll be putting it away soon, at which time, it'll be folded as well as I can manage and shoved in a chest. 3. When I was in high school, one of my nicknames was Laurelin, which is also the name of one of the two Trees of Valinor in The Silmarillion. Tolkien, of course, being Tolkien, gave everything in Middle-earth four or five names depending on what language was being spoken and by whom. So Laurelin was also known as Malinalda. When I changed my user ID a couple of years back, Laurelin was already taken and I didn't really like plain Malinalda. I do, however, like roses and the name Rose, so I stuck that on there, et voilà: malinaldarose.
3. Is it Spring yet??? Why yes, yes it is! Here in Maine, at least. The daffodils are finally coming up, the frogs are courting, the woodpeckers are banging on metal to attract their mates, and the goats are starting to get randy. Oh yeah, and it's warm (by my standards) and sunny outdoors.
2. Do you fold your fitted sheets? Yes. But not very well. They always seem to end up crumpled on the fitted corners. I know of people who can fold their fitted sheets perfectly, but I'm not one of them. Of course, it doesn't help that I'm 5'5-1/2" and I'm folding queen-size sheets. :-)
1. How did you pick your LiveJournal name? Dances With Cats is meant to be a takeoff on Dances With Wolves--because my relationship to cats is very similar to the relationship between Kevin Costner and the wolves as depicted in the movie. I'd hoped to get danceswithcats, but that was taken, so I had to settle for dances_withcats.
1. YES. Dangit. 2. I try, and fail. My dad can do it. I did not inherit the trait. 3. I ended up with the nickname J-dawg in high school, and it stuck. And the pi is for pi (3.14 etc) and also like P.I. as in Private Inv., as in Magnum P.I. (I still love Tom Selleck. I'm weird.)

I suggested that the next logical step from "Old Frank' would be "Dead Frank", which might be why he never liked me much.

1. It's an apple sortiment. I've always liked the word (or two words together) because of the vowels/wovels. It sounds pretty.

Winifred is a variation of my real name, and it kinda fits.
