MacBeth
by William Shakespeare. Directed by Paul Schweigert.
A special 45 minute adaptation straight out of Alaska Theatre of Youth’s 2007 Summer Conservatory
Three witches tell Macbeth that he will be “king hereafter.” MacBeth begins to consider killing King Duncan to gain the crown. When Lady Macbeth learns of the witches’ prophecy, she realizes that her husband is “too full of the milk of human kindness” to commit murder and she must take the initiative if this prophesy is to come true.
MacBeth has one performance on Wednesday, October 24th at 7pm in the Sydney Laurence Theatre in the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $6.50 for children, students and seniors, $9 for adults plus fees. For tickets please contact CenterTix at 263-ARTS.
