140 characters is enough to communicate basic things. But for more complex? It fails. There are so many tweets which span 2or more individual tweets that they may as well be posted to Facebook. Although Facebook has its own issues. Not least thatt they are even worse than LJ in communicating changes to the userbase. Nevermind the awful security model.
