Putting it into perspective

One of our senior staff members sat in on part of my rehearsal today. I've been feeling like my rehearsals are a sea of missed entrances, chattering children and a sense that chaos is only one wrong decision away.

At the end of the day I, jokingly, asked the director what he thought of my little darlings.

"What do you do to those kids? They were so quiet and so attentive!"

Okay. I think I needed that.
