1. An opal and sapphire ring. I believe in the superstition that it is bad luck to buy yourself an opal.

1. A super high-end DSLR camera. I'm too cheap.
2. It's only semi-practical: I'm putting off getting the stone reset in my wedding ring. It fell out while I was preparing food for Thanksgiving, and I only found it yesterday.
3. Smarties, if it's between those two. Unless someone is willing to trade for some plain M&Ms?

1--Not really sure...for me it's more the other way around--I have no clue what to tell others to get me, but I can come up with a ton of stuff that I would buy for myself. ;-)

1. I don't know if there's anything I won't eventually buy myself if no one gives it to me as a gift, now that I'm thinking about it. At first, I thought I'd never buy myself an HDTV, but that's not true.
