3. I managed to not eat any candy for a month once -- and it wasn't during Lent.

3. I quit smoking cold turkey last year, and it was far, far easier than I expected. I think it was because I truly wanted to quit.

3) Tried; yes, too many times. I quit smoking every time a show opens (I only smoke during tech week).
[The problem with addictions that are also genuine physical needs is that quitting totally is just not an option.]
