Ah-ha!

We went to Roadhouse for brunch and ordered the fresh, pipping hot donut holes.

 

I have discovered why the portions of appetizers are always off.  You know how, when an odd number of people order something to share, there is always an even number of items and if the people are an even number the item count is odd?

 

I know why that is now.

 

The waitstaff is hoping to encite a fight to the death to entertain themselves!

That is so the vegetarian kids can have a bun toasted and filled with peanut butter. I learned that at daycare.
