Sorry about the radio silence last week. This whole crashing the program thing is getting VERY old.
1. What is your favorite kind of cake?
2. What is the meanest thing you have done lately?
3. How do you feel about your job today?
We had a nice weekend - load-in went very well, so hopefully that is a Sign of Things to Come in tech week. Saturday I saw 2! movies, Waitress and 28 Weeks Later. I really liked both of them. My "son" has ruined summer movies for me, though. He keeps asking if I've seen Transformers yet, then tells me things like "Go see Harry Potter first, otherwise you'll be sitting there for 2 hours waiting for something to explode." During Waitress, Mark kept leaning over "Now would be a good time for something to blow up..."
Last night we celebrated birthdays. Mark's sisters' and brother's (there is no way I punctuated that correctly) birthday was Friday. Lori and Jay got it in their heads that they were going to be getting ponies and it became this huge running gag until Dad and Ila gave us all little plastic ponies on our gift bags.
I won the undying hatred of one of the older girls on Friday. It was raining too hard to walk around outside for our parade, so we punted and goofed off in the theatre for a while and played Costume Relay (put on the costume, run around the blocks, put the costume on the next person.) 3 of the girls decided they were too old to play and one of them really got in my face about it. I finally told her that not only did she have to play, but it wouldn't kill her to be a good sport. We'll see if I can top that one this week.
