I've worked for a number of theatre companies, and all have been bedeviled by small audiences at one time or another so - go! Go see a show. Take in some live music. Support your local arts community.

we (The South Devon Players/ http://southdevonplayers.weebly.com) get the best audiences that way too, when its a free show, stick a donation in the bucket/hat. Our biggest grossing shows have been that, instead of charging even £3 or £4 per head to attend)
