1. I bought a pair of boots and a hat. But I was in the middle of podunk nowhere, so I wouldn't consider it Black Friday there.

Nope but I did work in a movie theater that was in a mall parking lot so needless to say we became the babysitter to kids many times while the parents shopped

2--Yes, too many times at too many jobs (really I wouldn't say that many times, but it sure felt like it--I was more with jobs in the fast food industry than retail, but I did have a few in retail).

2. Yes. I worked for five years in a toy store. Imagine, if you will, five Black Fridays and five Christmas Eves in a toy store. I have worked with the public for about twenty-five years, and the only place I've been invited to have sexual relations with myself was at the toy store during the holiday season.

We don't have an official Black Friday here, though some businesses were having some Black Friday type of deals to try to stop people from going over the border to shop Black Friday sales in the U.S. I didn't bother going to any of the sales because nothing I particularly wanted was on sale around here.

I worked retail from 1991 to 1993.

1. Yes! I bought a netbook and nook. Both were gifts and I waited in like from 9PM till 5AM.. hopefully I never have to do that again.

1. Did you buy anything on Black Friday? Yup! Granted I got off work at 7am, so it wasn't too terrible. I scored Season 3 of Mad Men for $10 bucks at Best Buy, got some new dressy pants 50% off a the Gap, a new Draco Malfoy t-shirt at hot topic, some Victoria's Secret stuff I have to return because it was stupid impulse buying while waiting for my friend to show up. OH and a poinsettia and some Christmas movies at Target. And a camo thermal...because I'm awesome like that.

2. Have you ever worked in retail? Yes I worked at The Gap and Sam's Club and never EVER again. Shit hours and it's boring as hell. And you have to stand for all 8 of those hours. It's just brutal.

1. Only once I was dragged out to a "black Friday" by geolinguist to buy something at "best"buy for his sister. It was a stereo receiver..which she had no speakers for. Nor did she want to buy any.. even though I kept pointing this out to both of them.. did they listen to me? nope. Nor did they apologize for their lack respect to my knowledge and experience in this matter. I was dragged out of the comfy warm bed at 3am to wait in the fucking cold ass line at 4am to get something which had to be returned 4 days later. Yeah, I'm still bitter about that one.
