Christmas with Ghost_Light

Merry day, everyone!

We decorated our tree last night (pictures to come) and hung out with my sis-in-law's cats for a while. lonelydumptruck made his famous BBQ shrimp and Rodney came over to hang out. We watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas and then both of the 80's Twilight Zone Christmas episodes.

We haven't really opened presents yet, just one last night to ease some of the pressure. George got floor mats, lonelydumptruck got Tenacious D's Masterworks vol. 2 and I got two shrimp cookbooks.

For years, my Christmas morning tradition was to get up and watch just the Christmas story portion of Smoke. Then I think we were out of town and I couldn't do it and I fell out of the habit. I really wanted to do it this year, but our laser disc player is on the fritz. Then, I remembered the power of the internets and I am pleased to bring you one of my very, very favorite Christmas stories.

Just scroll down on the page to find the video, I couldn't figure out how to just capture it.

What a wonderful video clip and story. I'd never seen that movie before so this was a lovely treat, thank you.

Glad you guys seem to be having a very merry Christmas. *hugs*

Love you both.

I loved Smoke. I saw it just the once, many many years ago, but I've always remembered that movie. It was, to me, the closest a movie ever got to being like reading a book.
I watched the video...thanks. :)
