Ways to make the boss go "wha..."

Normally I'm pretty easy going when it comes to adding things to my to-do list. My boss occasionally have to get after me to stay on my tasks and not play "I can find it faster" when he complains about looking for something on line.

I torqued his world this morning when I mentioned having to do publicity and he handed me something "Oh here, do you want to retype this and send it out?"
userinfoghost_light: No, Boss, I really don't.

Boss: It's just the thing from....whaaaaaaat?

Stage managing horror stories.

I lost 3 of my four microphones this morning. Re-wiring the studio on the fly while Dad and Jennifer vamped on one mic for time did not net me a second microphone,, so I ended up patching Dad through the phone hybrid, so he was sitting there, on the phone, interviewing our guest sitting in the same studio. Since the guest was doing most of the talking, he got the better mic.

The show sounded like crap, but it was a reasonably good show, and we managed to mount it. Ach, the joys of live production. Of course, if everything always went well, the job might get tedious.

And some day, I will figure out why LJ keeps insisting on dumping me.

That was exactly it. He asked and I told him exactly.

I did try to do it later in the day, but I had to put it back on his desk with a question and today he decided we just shouldn't bother with doing it.
