(no subject)

1. In general, do you kill bugs and spiders in the house or try to relocate them?

2. How about creepy crawlies in the shower?

3. How sick do you get from stress?

1. I have several special bug jars. However, the last two times we had baseball-sized "Arachnaphobia"-style spiders in the house, I ended up having my boyfiend catch them. We always take them outside. In the case of the tarantula-sized ones, we drove them to a park so they wouldn't find their way back into our place.

2. I use my bug jar and carry them outside to deposit them in the bushes.

3. I've been sick all of 2007 so far but the symptoms have faded to just congestion in the back of my throat and in my sinuses. I have a feeling it's stress related because I haven't had more than two or three consecutive days off work in about two years.

1. Relocate or ignore, if I can.

2. OMG. Please, no. I hope this never happens.

3. Very. It tends to be the only thing that really makes me sick. Hooray ulcers.

1. Kill kill kill

2. I usually shriek and then drown them.

3. Depends on the kind of stress I am dealing with. School stress, not a problem. Life stress, big problem.

I'm with Lori...

1. They are in MY personal space... they must DIE a horribly squishy death (but I mustn't be the one to squish them.... EWWWW! *shudder*)

2. I can't even entertain the thought without shuddering violently. I would scream and probably tear down the shower curtain trying to get OUT of the shower away from THEM. *creeping heebie jeebies*

3. I haven't gotten it too bad. I have colds or light body aches/headaches but so far, nothing terrible. *knock wood*

Exactly!!

If a bug or spider is outside or in an area generally okay for bugs and spiders to be in... that is my problem.

If they are in MY space, that is their problem.

1. Either put them outside or just let them be. Spiders don't bother me. But if it's an earwig...it's dead. I also have cats, so they chase all bugs down.

2. Now that...creeps me out.

3. It takes a serious amount of stress to make me sick. I try to work off my stress by either writing, or swimming, or something like that.

1) Relocate, unless the cat is playing with them.

2) Wash them mercilessly down the drain.

3) Usually I get colds; sometimes those lead to worse stuff, but not usually.

Hey, this moving-in thing today -- do you still need help, and if so, when/where? I'll be calling you to check, as well.

Can do!

[identity profile] boundandchained.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Kill them or ignore them. If someone can come along and say, Why didn't you kill it? You must have seen it!, then I'll kill it. Lately I've been very squick about it all.

2. Shower head, jet action - on. Drain - open. Bug - GONE. (Though I have this fear that they'll crawl back out and get back at me. *shudder*)

3. Headaches, occasional eeew-tummy sort of things, but I more of a nervous breakdown sort of person.

I relocate them...I can't kill anything.

2. How about creepy crawlies in the shower?

I don't generally see them in there...there was a centipede once but he was out of reach so I couldn't do anything but leave, count to 10, and hope he was gone when I went back (he was).

3. How sick do you get from stress?

Very...if I'm stressed for long enough, it turns into a migraine, which is always my 'warning sign' that I've hit my limit.

1. Kill. Unless they're big, then I just leave the room and wait for them to go away or someone else to get rid of them.

2. Drown them.

3. Not at all. Actually, I'm more likely to make other people sick by not getting stressed at all...

[identity profile] detonate-for-me.livejournal.com 2007-06-19 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Relocate! The only exceptions are roaches and bugs that feast on blood. Those get sprayed.

2. See #1

3. It can get ugly if it's prolonged stress.

[identity profile] salixnoir.livejournal.com 2007-07-18 11:01 am (UTC)(link)
1. Spiders I talk to & then relocate. Any thing else must DIE!

2. Never had a creepy crawly in the shower. But I did find a frog once. (relocate)

3. Very, in fact I'm just coming down from a bout.
