Happy 'Journal Day - Take 2!

My Livejournal is 10 years old today! I am thinking a good way to celebrate this milestone is hosting a friendzy!

You probably, all know the drill by now - post an intro below, get to know some fun people.

I will start, if,'journal doesn't mangle this post!

Hi! I'm ghost_light, I'm 43 and I suck at writing intros. I live in Anchorage, Alaska with my husband LonelyDumptruck and 296,000 other people.

 

I work days doing data entry (why yes, that is as exciting as it sounds) and helping out at a small real estate to afford what I really like to do - theatre and roller derby! 

 

I am a Talking Woman and resident stage manager for a burlesque troupe and I  stage and house manage for the Performing Arts Centre where I have been heckled by Bill Engvall and had Kenny G. stick his tongue out at me as we passed in the hall.

 

I am a  Skating Official (referee) in
the Derby Intelligence Compliance Squad for Anchorage's roller derby league.  Yes, that means we are DICS.
I look forward to meeting all of you!

I'm a 40 year old Peoplesoft programmer in Kentucky. I like to cook and I craft a lot. I'm a jack of all crafts - I sew, knit, crochet, and spin yarn. I've taken classes in drawing, painting, and ceramics. I have a bit of a short attention span and tend to work on whatever is calling to me. Sometimes things just don't get finished.

I've been on LJ for almost 13 years now (it'll be 13 in January!), I don't post as much as I used to, but I still try to post at least twice a week.

I suck at introductions too, so ermmm...My name is Alex, I'm 30 chronologically, but swing between 30 going on either 12 or 120, depending on the day. The "interests" list on my profile might tell a lot about me, so if you like, check it out. I'm a gay male in two relationships, so if GLBT people or polyamorous people aren't your thing we might not agree on some things. Otherwise, feel free to add me and I really like meeting new people. I mostly post about how my day went, fun stuff like memes or silly things I pick up on the internet, serious topics, recipes since cooking is a huge hobby, and all sorts of things about my cat. I'm introverted, but talkative as heck when I get to know someone, generally easy going and happy, but uncompromising when I feel strongly about something. YAY ON THE TEN YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so, my name is bethanne. i live in the state shaped like a mitten (michigan, thank you!) i have a life in process at the moment: i work in fine jewelry at a department store, but i hate my job, so i'm trying to find new work. time won't be on my side though, because within the next six months, my little bun in the oven will be ready. (my husband and i are expecting a baby! due in june! we're also fur-parents to two cats that don't get along too.)

as to what i want to be? i would like to be back in an office setting (was in a good job for two years before i got laid off) and i'd like more time to work on my art (i dabble in fine art when the weather is nicer and i have time to do it. working retail full time doesn't allow me a lot of time.) the only good thing that my current job has provided me is the friends i have made. we try and spend time with each other outside of work.

i also love to cook, listen to music, read, rest (a lot, as of lately), and watch tv and movies. i'm a unique person who likes weird stuff and that is cool by me.

i'm friends only, so shoot me a comment to let me know if you want to add me and i'll add you. and i like to meet more people who are just pretty cool. (no jerks though - if you're super conservative and hate people because of their skin color, sexuality, religion, disability, etc., we won't be friends. i'm a tree-hugging free spirit that loves everyone regardless of differences.)
