Wow..

Not having rehearsals or shows the last 3 nights has been interesting. I still really haven't had a break of any kind, but it's been nice to do other things. Tuesday our friend Carl brought over the 3rd Matrix and we made pizzas. In the middle of all that, Chris Joosee (with a name so fun you just can't stop spelling it) called to let us know he is getting married this summer. I think we decided what our trip is going to be this year! I can't wait!

Yesterday started off...well....I opened the bedroom door and there was a cat in our living room. Luckily it was not Tybalt returning home, it was one of the kids who lives downstairs. The kitchen window was left open after all the pizzas made the house stuffy from oven-heat and he just wandered in and took over the place. He let me pick him up and give him a cuddle before I kicked his hairy butt out.

It's been so nice lately we rushed home (picking up Taco Bell on the way) and bombed out for a quick game of disc golf. Man, I have not improved one bit. But I will say I was the only one not to hit the tress on the second hole. That's only because I can't throw that far. We had to rush because we had tickets to the Fly-By-Night Club for a Three Barons fund raiser. We still had time for 9 holes and some schmoozing at the club, though. I haven't been for so long, most of the show was new and we had a ball! One of my favorite jokes of the night (and it was by no means the best - one of the best was Dubya and Cheney singing "The Liar Sleeps Tonight"..."shock and awe. Shock and awe. Avenge my pa, avenge my pa")was the whole bit about aerial wolf-killing. Whitekeys found one of the articles where they talk about how much more humane it is to sterilize the wolves but while the hearing about it was going on, and actual, real-life trapper testified "You don't get it. These wolves aren't screwing our moose, they're eating them."

Well - off to the theatre. First show of the week and the audience is rumored to he HUGE. Wish us luck.

That was a fun show last night... I haven't been to FbN in a couple years but there is always something cheesy and sleazy to make you laugh!


(By the by, the way you could get Kathy to finally take the plunge into livecrack is to preemptorily create an LJ for her..... oh I dunno... like maybe.... kahteeyah... and maybe make up a password that consists of her husband's full name including middle initial (no spaces or caps). *innocent smile*

Oh, and above you will see the promised pirate-bunny-peeps icon. Yarrr. :-D

*grins* I've been threatening to make a journal for them to share. Something like....fuckuclown. I keep tempting with colorbars and icons too ;) There is a welikethemoon group. And I've poked around some archivist journals on her behalf back in my mostly unemployed days. Could be fun getting things all decorated, in case she might happen to like a journal....:)

It was a great show last night! I was really impressed with some of the new material.

And I love the icon :) I think I found 3 keepers finally, but I'm asking for a paid account for my birthday so I can have more to play with (:

I'll see if I have time to mess with it tonight when I get home. I'm at work now and I try really, really hard to resist and not do too much looking around LJ itself on the clock no matter how boring or temp it is here. I do my best just to post answers from my mail program since I do like the place. I'm going from here right into a meeting about a Broadway Kidz show and then to an ATY staff meeting so I probably won't be home until after 11. Do you have any fun ideas for icons to share, though? :)

I've seen them called both marmots and spongemonkeys. There is a group for reallygood.com (where they come from) and one for welikethemoon (i found that one by putting in Moon as a search, believe it or not.) I made one of the stomping kitties from reallygood.com a while ago as a Kathy gift...

Holy Crap. How could I forget about Buffy? I can't stand her. Atually that's an incorrect statement. I've never watched Buffy, so I can't really have an opinion. Angle, on the other and, is a babe. MarthaStewart rocks, even is she's a convicted felon. Just imagine the magic she'll create in the prision kitchen...

Perhaps. But Joss does give good dialogue. Where else can you get scenes where 2 of the characters are trying to descibe the whole Angel/Buffy thing and end up acting it out with lines like "Oh Buffy! I love you so much I....almost forgot to BROOD" and a breathless, rapt "Oh Angel! BITE me!" capping with Angel (from behind them of course) "Hey, why don't you both bite me?"
