I am reading a German translation of Charles Bukowski's novel Ham on Rye (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/ham-on-rye-charles-bukowski/1100609585?ean=9780876855577&itm=2&usri=ham%2bon%2brye), a book a found in mint condition a junk shop for three dollars! In a used bookstore it would go for at least twenty dollars, probably more!
