Bad News

My cellphone was stolen from the PAC last night. This morning there was a strange man's voice on my voice mail where mine used to be. The phone is deactivated for 2 weeks. Unless it is found and returned to me, my number will be defunct forever. I cannot be reached today. Tomorrow I will have Mark's phone and may be reached on that number.

You telling me your phone company won't transfer the number to a new phone?

It'll transfer... but depends if you are talking short-term or long-term. Most of the time, if a phone gets stolen (major suckage) you're looking at having to buy a replacement phone, unless you have any spare phones laying around.

Nope - they said they would cancell the number for 2 weeks, then forever if I don't call because the phone was returned.632-1485 is a defuncy number.

That's beyond stupid. Don't get a new account with THAT provider!

There are ways of getting around that.... we should talk. Trust me, I know the ins and outs of the system.
