1) Lots of water and aspirin before going to sleep. (although I prefer a preventative thing here, and try to just NOT DRINK ENOUGH TO GET A HANGOVER!)
2) Watched the final presentation of the Acting For Young People class at Williamston Theatre, where I'm Artistic Director. It was great! Then I sat at my desk for another hour or two working on next season!
3) The first time my father took me deer hunting I wasn't old enough to hunt, but I was there on my "introduction to bow-hunting" the year before I could actually do it. I sat with my father in his deer blind (a small clearing surrounded by a pile of branches and ferns), and we sat quietly watching for deer. Then, in a moment I will never live down, when I saw my first deer...all of my training went out the window and I leapt to my feet shouting "DAD! A DEER! RIGHT THERE! GET IT! SHOOT IT!! IT'S GETTING AWAY!! GET IT!!"
It's important to note here that my father is a man who laughs a lot - but I don't know if I've ever seen him laugh as loud and long as he did at that moment. Then he gave me a hug, and said, giggling, "Well, we might as well go have some lunch, there won't be any deer back this way for a while!"
And THAT was my first experience with hunting. Fortunately, I got better. :)
