Return ot the Return

1. How are you spending today?
2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
3. What color are your socks?

5 hrs until I see the Spine Doc.!

1. Not the way I had hoped to. I've been catching up on housework, when I'd really prefer to be sitting on the couch watching movies or reading.

2. England in about 1935. Because it always seems so nice in those period mysteries and movies. (Of course I know that's not really the case....)

3. I am currently wearing black socks. Exciting, no?

[identity profile] stagemanager.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
1) Not doing much. No classes, no bank, no library, so I'm online. :(

2) Manhattan. Because it rules.

3) Black. Or white. Depending. Or there's the purple ones I wear at home.

[identity profile] notlikeyouasked.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Shopping at Costco. Woo hoo.
2. I'd probably stay in Southern California. But, if I could live somewhere on a temp basis for say a month or two it would probably be Spain.
3. White on the top and grey on the bottom.

[identity profile] dramama.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Good luck with that!

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Going over to a friend's house for a Buffy marathon. We are nearly through with Season 6.

2. Boston, hands down. After living there for a year, I can't imagine wanting to live anywhere else. It's a big city that doesn't FEEL like a big city. It's easy to get around both by public transportation and by foot or bicycle. People there tend to be intelligent. There is an appreciation of said intelligence as well as individuality and creativity. Boston loves good beer. They have a similar appreciation of baseball that I have (although I must say they root for the wrong team). I've never found another place where I felt so at home. I belong there.

3. I am currently barefoot.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. I'm kind of freaking and Mark thinks I'm thinking about it too much.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
There weren't that many in Season 6 that were great, but it was a lot better than 7, I think. 4 was my favorite overall.

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
4 is my least favorite. Season 2 is my absolute favorite, although I have great affection for season 6 (it being the first one I watched).

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Season 2 is great. I've been considering rewatching the series starting with 2. 1 could be a little too After-School-Special for me, but it really started to click when Spike showed up.

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
My favorite Buffy episode is Becoming Part II.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I am still incredibly impressed with The Body. And, like most others, I really liked Hush.

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
My five favorite episodes:

Becoming Part II
The Body
Hush
Once More With Feeling
Conversations with Dead People

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
That's 4 out of my 5. (I don't remember Becoming I or II)

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Buffy > Sword > Angel

And Spike being awesome.

[identity profile] daphne486.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Mostly hoping the mess with classes-time gets sorted out...

2. Probably Italy, I think it would be fun :)

3. Red.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah-ha! yes, good.

I think Graduation Day just might make my Top 5.

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
The episode "Doplegangland" always wants to fight for a spot in my top five. (Evil Willow = YUM)

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
argh! And I was just thinking about that one the other day too...."Bored now!"

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
*crosses fingers for you.*

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's me as a vampire? I'm so evil. And skanky. And I think I'm kinda gay!"

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
*collapses in giggles* Oh yes. Top 5.

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Willow is the only character who could cause me to completely collapse into either giggles or tears.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Willow and Spike were always my favorites. I really liked Jonathan and Amy too, but I always boo when Andrew shows up.

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Jonathan was my very favorite 7-season recurring character. I was furiously upset when that bugger Andrew took him away from me.

And yeah, Willow and Spike were my favorite characters. I stopped liking Xander after his actions in Season 2 re: Angel.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooohh! I wanted to Kill Andrew for that!

I never really minded Xander one way or the other. He got dark, but that was okay.

One of the ATY kids is nutz for Buffy, so she would lend me the comics during shows. Overall they were really good.

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I am collecting the Season 8 comics. Brilliance. Absolute brilliance.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
She only had the first 4 or so - may I borrow them from you sometime?

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
You up for seeing Juno when I get off work on Thursday? I can bring the comics with me, then.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I think so. Lemme talk to the Hubby and make sure his heart won't go pop.

[identity profile] theloriest.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I get off work at 4:30. I know it's playing at Century at 4:50, so if somebody could pick me up, the timing might work out.

[identity profile] dramama.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, he's probably right. But if I were in your shoes, I'd be freaking too, so I think it's perfectly normal behavior.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Let me see what I can do!

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
*hugs* Thanks. I'm just sitting here going "What if he says to suck it up?" What if he doesn't or the surgeon does? Or doesn't? How do you even decide about something like this?

[identity profile] geolinguist.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Working
2. don't know
3. blue and grey argyle

[identity profile] dramama.livejournal.com 2008-02-18 10:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I think the decision is pretty clear. If surgery will give you relief, then I think you have to do it. You're in too much pain right now.

*hugs* back. Good luck.

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
*hugs* That's what I feel like, but it seems so strange to be *hoping* for surgery, you know? Dr. Buddy isn't back until Thurs., so things might be on hold until then.

[identity profile] matthewshiner.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
1. Shopping, napping, lovely dinner at home.
2. New York (if money was no object), Northern California otherwise.
3. White.

[identity profile] kornopolous.livejournal.com 2008-02-19 03:30 am (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] ghost-light.livejournal.com 2008-02-21 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Posting, apparently :)
2. Edinburgh. I really felt at home when I visited there. I was able to find my way around very easily. I'd love to see what it is like beyond the Fringe
3. None
