Happy Anniversary. I just realized I've been on here for 10 years, too. If LJ keeps working I will be here for a lot longer. I love LJ for the threaded conversations. I reveal myself via discourse, instead of big posts.
I'm Steve. I'm 43 and live in Canada. I'm a married heterosexual monogamous social democrat atheist (recovering Catholic). That really doesn't say much about me, though. My FL is a wonderful mix of interest people. Some atheist. Some are ministers. Some poly. Engineers and art majors. Programmers and librarians. Stay at home moms and dads. Mmmm, librarians. There are conservatives. I like conversations. I don't have too much patience with racists or people who hate on the less fortunate. Ie/ complaining on Apr 15 that welfare queens have their hands in your pockets will raise my ire.
The two things that frustrate me are people and computers. This is why I'm a support manager for an ISP/telco.
I live in Windsor, ON. I am immediately south of Detroit (don't stop. Believing!)
I have three cats and a Shih Tzu. All of whom I talk about too much. My wife took a Post-Doc position out of town, so our homes are split. I watch way too much TV in my free time. I'm also run and am trying to learn Latin, the violin, and functional programming. Clearly I do it to impress the ladies. In probably more of a dilettante than a renaissance man. But I've gotta learn.
I read like I have ADD. There's always a stack of books where I rest.
Monty Python's Flying Circus and Woody Allen had a serious impact on my sense of humour. I power-watch TV shows. I think Netflix release model is perfect for me. And the shows have been great!
Shows I talk a lot about: -archer -community -mad men -oh, how much I miss Breaking Bad -once upon a time -venture bros
I listened to a lot of New Wave and classic rock in the 80's. Big Kate Bush fan. Ultravox. Roxy Music.
I enjoy annoying my wife by pointing out actors from other shows. It's called "Hey! He's from Oz and/or The Wire!"
Anyway, that's all I can think up at 3am. Oh, I'm a bit of an insomniac. I post a lot of 4am inanities.
