Hi! I'm here by way of kishenehn who I only just met, myself (and whose name I likely misspelled. Oops.) I'm a long-time lj-er too (12 years!) and have decided that the best internet life is here, in addition to the past 12 years of my life.

I took the liberty of adding a bunch of posters from comments above, and welcome other new friends. I write about making things (gardens, knitting, sewing) and things that others make (books, art) and places I go, and odd things I see people doing or saying along the way. Human behavior, speculation, and facets of the world that are easier to talk about here behind the veil of writing than they are to address in the real world, face to face. I'm 39, vaguely distrustful of religions and politics, married, happy in work, and my grand confession is that i don't really "get" fanfic.

I like commenters and reciprocity, and I read every post on my lj list. This community has given me more thought and insight than I can say--I love peering into the lives of others, in trade for a glimpse of mine.
