Yesterday I went to the memorial for a young woman I acted with years and years ago, back when ATY was at UAA. lonelydumptruck reminded me about it on his way out the door for rehearsal. It was one of the hardest memorials I have ever been to, she was just too sweet and too young. I've been thinking about the phrase 'I'm sorry for your loss.' Really, this one is as much yours as mine I didn't know her that well but she was a genuinely good soul.

Frank and Kamala came over for dinner and hot tubing last night. It was great to hang out and just talk with them. We made plans to go see Sherlock Holmes with them today, but they overdid the housework and crashed early. I bunkered and crashed early. Seriously. I did nothing but play Sims 3 all day today. I did find the solution to a save-error which made me restart everything I'd done Friday night. (I think this is 8 restarts, userinfopoisondartfrog, thanks for asking.)lonelydumptruck had rehearsal and then went to Costco. He came back with a new printer and scanner. I love my brave retail warrior.

He's in playing Borderlands with Sandy and userinfoscooterpbakes. I finally pried my ass off Sims and am rewarding the little bit of work I did on my lines with Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? I always forget how fucking strange Mercerism is.

I should spend more time with my lines tonight since I have to be off-book by Tuesday's rehearsal. Yikes!

Not very productive, but a lot of fun.

Thursday we had an almost-sold out house of students from the college. They talked the entire time but reportedly loved the show. The big joke backstage was how the information about the house trickled in. First we heard they were English students, then it was that they were not the most upper level English class, then we learned that they were at the show to make up and assignment they'd missed. At this point I looked at the stage manager and just said "So, basically, this show is their punishment?"

Friday one person in the office dressed up. He wore a kilt and gave out candy. About 3 minutes after he came through the office, one of the other guys came through with Burger King Breakfast Sandwiches 'So you'll eat something besides sugar today!'

The show was less awesome. It was a slightly smaller house than we have been getting, much older and very, very quiet. We had to work for every snicker we got. After the show we caught the middle/end of the Brr-lesque show and THEN went over to alaskaguy's Halloween party.

Saturday I didn't do much other than play on the computer and get my brace adjusted before the show. It went a lot better - another sold out house. Afterward we stopped in at a wedding reception and then gave into the infernal cravings for boxed Mac and Cheese I've been harboring all week. Neither of us felt like using our extra hour for sleep, so we watched The Happening and part of a Beatles movie. I really liked The Happening, but I've liked all of his movies (Signs least of them all, though.) I find that each of them has a moment where your jaw simply drops, and it's not always the ending.

Sunday I goofed around on the computer and played some Sims until it was time to go to the theatre. That means another Sims update or two will be coming shortly. The show went fairly well and we went out to dinner with a sis-in-law and bro-in-law talk about Thanksgiving. Bro-in-law gave lonelydumptruck all of his old Xbox games and he set that up in the bedroom while I played some more Sims.

lonelydumptruck is making calls for the Begich campaign tonight. I'm going to fold laundry and play on the computer, hopefully post a Sims story, send emails and the like. I may try to go vote early to avoid the chaos of tomorrow but I haven't decided yet.

1. What was your weekend like?

2. What was the best costume you saw?

3. How much candy did you eat?

This legacy challenge (loosely following the rules, kind of looking at them as guidelines, really) begins with Zachary Allgood, cousin of the charming Alexander Allgood, though he doesn't share his cousin's social graces. Zachary's goal in life is to be a top game designer but, unlike most gaming geeks, he has a strong passion for the outdoors. He's never happier than when he is out birdwatching or catching bugs and butterflies.

He joined the Belladonna Cove Nature Center Hiking Series for something to do on weekends and was immediately smitten with the hike leader Naenae Phillipine. She was not so taken with him, though. It took several tries for her to agree to go out with him but Zachary was persistent (he even slept on a bench outside the nature center until she agreed to a date.) They hit it off well and she finally warmed to his quirky charms. A few dates later she agreed to move in with him though he has yet to pop the question.

Naenae is a homebody with a deep love of nature and a passion for cooking (particularly grilled cheese sandwiches). Her dream is to have 6 children and see them all happily married with children of their own.

Why Sims And Pain Killers Don't Mix.

I started a new legacy family last night.

Zachary Allgood met and wooed the sim who is in charge of the secret lot for sims with the passion for nature as a hobby.

Today I went back to look at her again before starting a post of their story.

She dresses like the Jolly Green Giant.

And her name is Naenae.

I started a new Sim family last night! Pictures, the start of a story and a poll will hopefully be coming soon!

Bad pain day yesterday, even with the brace.

Good dental check-up. I'm going to need a new biteguard since I finally managed to crack the one I've have for almost 20 years. Also, I never have to pre-medicate again! The American Heart Association finally decided that people with mitral valve prolapse are about as likely to get infective endocarditis brushing their teeth at home as they are in the dentist chair from having a cleaning done so they struck it from the list. I am so happy! I just wish they'd told me that flat out before I took the meds yesterday.

1. What is the best Halloween costume you have ever seen?

2. What is the best Halloween costume you have ever worn?

3. What books are you currently reading?
